Tips for better starting words
A good opener uses the letters that show up most in five-letter words: E, A, R, O, T, L, S, I, N. SLATE, CRANE, ROAST and ADIEU are the usual picks. SLATE and CRANE tend to test best because they put common letters in common spots, S at the start and E at the end. Pick one and stick with it; you'll get faster at reading what it tells you. Then make your second guess out of five fresh letters, SLATE followed by CORNY for example, and you've tested ten letters in two turns. Worked example
Say you open with SLATE and get a yellow A and a green T in the fourth spot. Put T in the fourth green box, A in yellows, and S, L, E in grays. The helper cuts 172,000 words down to the handful of five-letter words with T fourth, an A somewhere else, and no S, L or E. ABOUT and AMITY are in that group. One more guess usually gets you to one or two candidates. That's the whole routine: play a guess in Wordle, copy the colors here, pick from what's left.
Understanding the clue colors
Green means right letter, right spot, so it goes in its numbered box. Yellow means the letter is in the word but not where you put it. The helper only requires it to be somewhere in the word, so check positions against your own board. Gray means the letter isn't in the word, with one catch. If you play a letter twice and the word only has it once, Wordle grays the extra copy. The helper accounts for that by ignoring a gray letter that's also marked green or yellow.

Does this show the actual Wordle answer?
It shows every dictionary word consistent with your clues — the answer is always among them, usually alongside a few alternatives. The final deduction (or lucky pick) is still yours.
Why do I see words Wordle would never use?
This helper searches the full ENABLE dictionary, which includes obscure words. Wordle's answer list is a curated subset of common words, so when in doubt, guess the more familiar candidate first.
Is it cheating to use a helper?
For keeping a streak alive on a brutal day, that's between you and your conscience — but it's also a great way to learn the deduction patterns that make you better unaided. Many people use it after playing, to see what else fit their clues.
