Scrabble letter values
Every tile has a fixed face value: 1 point — A E I O U L N S T R · 2 — D G · 3 — B C M P · 4 — F H V W Y · 5 — K · 8 — J X · 10 — Q Z. Blanks score 0 but unlock plays that would otherwise be impossible. The scores shown in the results are face value; board bonuses (double and triple letter or word squares) multiply them further, and using all seven tiles in one turn — a "bingo" — adds a 50-point bonus on top.
Worked example
Say your rack is AEINRST — statistically one of the best racks in the game. The finder returns the seven-letter bingos NASTIER, RETAINS, RETINAS, RETSINA, STAINER, STEARIN and ANESTRI, each worth 7 face points plus the 50-point bingo bonus if you can fit one on the board. Can't place seven? The list continues with strong six- and five-letter options like RATINES, SATIRE and TRAINS. Enter a board letter in "playing through" — say an open O — and the search adjusts to words like SENORITA that weave your rack through it.
Strategy: score isn't everything
The highest-scoring word isn't always the best play. Watch three things: board position (does your play open a triple-word square for your opponent?), rack leave (playing five tiles and keeping RS is better than playing six and keeping Q), and hooks (words that take a front or back letter — like turning HEAT into CHEAT or WHEAT — let you piggyback on existing words for big scores). Q without U is survivable: memorize QI, QAT, QAID and QOPH. And the two-letter word list (AA, XI, ZA, JO…) is the single highest-value thing a casual player can learn.

Why does my game reject a word this tool found?
Word lists differ. This site uses ENABLE (public domain); North American tournament play uses the NWL, and international play uses Collins — each includes some words the others don't. Treat borderline finds as "check before you play."
What are the seven-letter bonus points?
Using all seven rack tiles in one play is a bingo, worth an extra 50 points on top of the word's score. It's the biggest single swing in Scrabble, which is why strong players fish for bingo-friendly racks.
How should I use the "playing through" box?
Put in the letter (or letters) already on the board that your word must include. The finder adds them to your rack and only returns words containing them — mirroring how you'd actually place the word on the board.
