How the solver finds them
Two words are anagrams when they contain exactly the same letters in a different order. The solver exploits that: it sorts your letters alphabetically into a signature (LISTEN → EILNST), then finds every dictionary word with the same signature. That's why it's instant even against 172,000 words — and why it only ever returns perfect matches, never partial ones.

Why did I get no results?
Most letter combinations simply have no perfect anagram — the longer the word, the rarer they are. Try the unscrambler instead to see every shorter word your letters contain.
Can I solve multi-word anagrams?
This tool returns single dictionary words. For phrase anagrams (like DIRTY ROOM), you'd solve one word at a time — find a word using some letters, then anagram the remainder.
Do proper names work?
You can enter any letters, including a name, but results only include dictionary words — the ENABLE list doesn't contain proper nouns, so DYLAN will match nothing even though it anagrams to a name.
